I had an amazing stay at this buzzing hostel, filled with interesting people from all over the world. The building itself, a former prison, has been beautifully rebuilt and serves as a testament to creativity and solidarity. Each room is a unique work of art, and surprisingly comfortable with amenities like AC. The recreation rooms and kitchen were a nice bonus.

Stylish, comfortable, warm. Comfortable beds. Decent breakfast. Inner yard. 24h reception. Large common area, there is a cafe and a dining room.
The only small kitchen corner on several floors of the hostel is not enough.

We had a wonderful time staying at a unique hostel with a great atmosphere. The wooden furniture in the Slovenian style created a cozy and welcoming environment. The staff went above and beyond to assist us and were very friendly and accommodating. The bar had a lively ambiance and the overall positive energy made our stay enjoyable.

Great concept and use of historic building. Renovations / art work impressive. Very handy location
Poor quality breakfast; no curtains / blinds on bedroom windows; loud music played in restaurant (below bedrooms) way too early in the morning.

Design is cute, furniture stylish, room not too small, hostel close to the train and bus station. Breakfast was very good.
Price not hostel-like. Nights can be noisy since young people stay late in the bar, what we did not mind since we stayed late too. However the wall seemed not sound-proof, people walking on the floor can wake you up.

The ex-prison theme of the rooms gives Hostel Celica a unique and interesting atmosphere. The well-designed cells make for a fun and memorable sleeping experience. The location near Metelkova is a bonus, as it is an area worth visiting. The staff at the hostel were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.
Felt well taken care of, no complaints.

The value for money was great, especially considering the location and helpful staff. The room was cozy and warm, with a comfy bed and spacious bathroom. The staff at Celica were friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The hotel breakfast menu could have been improved with a wider selection of options.

the staff were exceptionally nice - the location was central and one of the cheapest options in ljubljana
it was very basic - it is a hostel and not a hotel - but for £55 it could have been a little less sparse - it is an old prison - but i was not quite prepared for the lack of comfort . but to be fair it is geared to younger backpackers who all seemed to love it !

It was a very unusual but interesting experience! I would recommend it to people who are not afraid of experiments.

We really enjoyed our stay at this unique hostel. The staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. The location was perfect, with arts and music just around the corner. The beds were comfortable and we didn't need ear plugs to sleep. The breakfast buffet, although it ran out of breakfast tea, had a variety of options including avocado, which was great for vegetarians.
Nothing, everything was great.

The novelty of the place appealed to me when I booked and I was not disappointed. Place is very clean despite the huge numbers of people coming and going. Staff are warm and welcoming and the 24 hour desk manning is good especially as the free internet user name and password is changed every 4 hours! There is event going on each niht and the jamming session while I was there was superb and free! I heard that it is in Rough Guide's 25 places you must stay and I'd have to agree.
A-la Carte meals end at 18:0, and only sandwiches and pizzas are then available. This is a bit too early to finish, I think.
